The goal of this project is to design a wind powered generator that will be used to charge a cell phone. The turbine connected to this generator will be mounted on the frame of a standard bicycle, harnessing the power of wind while the bicycle is in motion. A wind turbine will be designed and built using 3D modeling and printing resources. The turbine will be mounted under the handle bars of the bicycle on the front of the bicycle. An axle will run from the turbine to the generator and located on the front of the frame An AC generator will convert the rotational movement of the turbine into electrical energy which will then be fed to a circuit and converted to DC power at 5 Watts which will charge a cell phone. The entire system will mount with brackets on frame of the bicycle for easy addition or removal from the bicycle.
